Yogyakarta Food Price Update Today: Chicken Price Up, Chili Price Down (Friday, January 19, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta, today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (19/1/2024) at 10:03 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, medium rice, chicken eggs, farmer-level corn, and Indian mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp1,160 (11.91%) to Rp10,900 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the lowest price decrease, dropping by Rp4,180 (9.03%) to Rp42,130 per kg.
