Food Prices Today, January 29, in DKI Jakarta: Red Chili and Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food items in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessities Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (29/1/2026) at 3:48 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were curly red chili and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red onion, Minyakita cooking oil, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili saw the highest jump of Rp2,250 (3.56%) to Rp65,500 per kg. Red onion prices had the deepest drop of Rp500 (1.07%) to Rp46,400 per kg.
