East Java Food Prices Saturday (4/1): Chili Prices Up, Beef Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (4/1/2025) at 15.32 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, SPHP rice, mackerel fish, bulk cooking oil, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), medium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp6,440 (9.8%) to Rp72,170 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybeans (import) decreased the most sharply by Rp370 (3.85%) to Rp9,250 per kg.
