10 Provinces with the Highest Prices for Low-Quality Rice (Tuesday, March 5, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 14,010 per kg for low-quality grade II rice in modern markets across several provinces as of Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Overall, the average price this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 13,920 per kg.

The daily price of low-quality grade II rice in modern markets in West Papua was the highest in Indonesia, at Rp 16,750 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of low-quality grade II rice in this province is higher; previously it was recorded at Rp 12,800 per kg.

Meanwhile, in Bali's modern markets, low-quality grade II rice was sold at Rp 16,700 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of low-quality grade II rice was Rp 16,650 per kg in Maluku, Rp 16,200 per kg in Lampung, and Rp 15,900 per kg in Papua.

Meanwhile, 14 provinces had low-quality grade II rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for low-quality grade II rice were Riau Islands, Jambi, and West Nusa Tenggara.
