Chicken Egg Prices in Modern Markets for the April 2025-2026 Period

According to the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel, the daily chicken egg price in modern markets of South Sumatra province is recorded at Rp27,200 per kg. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day and also over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily chicken egg price in modern markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp27,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily chicken egg price in modern markets in South Sumatra over the past three months has fallen by 4.23%. Based on historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily chicken egg price in modern markets of South Sumatra province was traded at Rp28,400 per kg.

The record increase in daily chicken egg prices in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2022 with a 52.77% increase, and the lowest decrease was recorded in November 2020 with a -19.25% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in South Sumatra show that 14 commodities have decreased and seven have increased. The sembako with price decreases are Green Bird's Eye Chili, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Granulated Sugar, Rice, Chicken Eggs, Garlic, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Medium-sized Garlic, Red Chili, Cooking Oil, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Curly Red Chili, Bird's Eye Chili, and Lower Grade I Rice.

6. Granulated Sugar per Kg Rp17,700 per kg (down 0.28%)
7. Rice per Kg Rp15,500 per kg (down 1.9%)
8. Grade 1 Beef per Kg Rp200,550 per kg (unchanged)
9. Chicken Eggs per Kg Rp27,200 per kg (down 0.73%)
10. Shallots per Kg Rp33,950 per kg (up 6.26%)
