Siak Regency's 2023 Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp109.92 trillion. This represents a 4.35% growth compared to the previous year's Rp107 trillion.
Compared to the COVID-19 pandemic period in 2020, the region's economic growth is significantly higher. At the end of 2020, post-COVID growth was recorded at a decrease of 0.1%.
According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) publications, with a total population of 474,620, the GRDP per capita in the region is recorded at Rp230.42 million/capita/year. Nationally, this ranks 19th.
Of the 17 sectors driving the economy in this regency, the manufacturing industry is the leading sector.
The manufacturing sector in Siak Regency is the mainstay sector and contributed the largest share to the 2023 GRDP, reaching Rp43.92 billion. This represents a 4.86% growth compared to the previous year's Rp41.44 billion.
Second is the mining and quarrying sector, which grew by 1.98% to Rp28.3 billion, followed by the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector with a GRDP of Rp25.49 billion (3.74%).
Other sectors contributing to the top five include wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, with a GRDP of Rp2.5 billion.

In terms of distribution, the main sector contributing to the largest GRDP growth in Siak Regency is the manufacturing sector, with a contribution of 46.85%. The sectors with the smallest distribution are Transportation and Warehousing; Accommodation and Food Services; Electricity and Gas Supply; Business Services; and Water Supply, Waste Management, Waste and Recycling.
