Red Onion Prices in Traditional Markets March 2025-2026 Period

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily red onion price in traditional markets of South Kalimantan province is recorded at Rp27,35 thousand. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day as well as in the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily red onion price in traditional markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp27,25 thousand.

Meanwhile, the daily red onion price in traditional markets in South Kalimantan over the past three months has decreased by 53.72%. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily red onion price in traditional markets of South Kalimantan province was traded at Rp59,1 thousand.

The record increase in daily red onion prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in May 2022 with an increase of 39.69%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2022 with a decrease of -18.39%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine staple foods (sembako) today in South Kalimantan show seven commodities decreased and five others increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Fresh Commercial Chicken Eggs, Chicken Eggs, Red Onions, Large Red Chilies, Medium-sized Garlic, Garlic, and Medium-sized Red Onions.
