East Java Food Prices Saturday (24/8): Chili Pepper, Chicken, and Rice Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (24/8/2024) at 14.37 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, granulated sugar, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red onions, farmer-level corn, mackerel, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Pure beef prices surged the highest by Rp1,180 (1.01%) to Rp118,330 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red onions fell the most by Rp190 (0.97%) to Rp19,400 per kg.
