Chili Pepper Prices in North Kalimantan Highest in Indonesia (Friday, July 1, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 101,400 per kg, data as of Friday, July 1, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 71,040 per kg.

The daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in North Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 162,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of chili peppers in this province has not changed. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 200,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Papua, chili peppers were sold at Rp 156,000 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of chili peppers in South Kalimantan was Rp 134,900 per kg, East Kalimantan Rp 130,950 per kg, and DKI Jakarta Rp 121,700 per kg.

Meanwhile, there were 14 provinces with chili pepper sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for chili peppers were North Sumatra, East Nusa Tenggara, and Aceh.
