Current Food Prices in Indonesia: Egg, Oil, and Sugar Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (29/10/2024) at 08.07 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, broiler chicken, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), pure beef, red chilies, iodized fine salt, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel increased the most, by Rp1,220 (3.26%) to Rp38,630 per kg. The price of red chilies decreased the most sharply, by Rp1,560 (3.68%) to Rp40,800 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on October 29, 2024, at 08.07 WIB.

6. Milkfish: Rp33,220 per kg (down 0.03%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,250 per kg (up 2.87%)
8. Shallots: Rp30,930 per kg (up 1.58%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,270 per kg (up 2.49%)
10. Curly Red Chilies: Rp29,050 per kg (down 3.2%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,350 per liter (up 0.82%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,160 per kg (up 1.17%)
