Today's Food Prices in East Java: Sugar Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (25/7/2024) at 15.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, farmer-level corn, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp4,480 (6.56%) to Rp72,780 per kg. Farmer-level corn saw the sharpest price decrease, down by Rp190 (3.71%) to Rp4,930 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on July 25, 2024, at 15.11 WIB.

5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp33,300 per kg (down 0.57%)
6. Mackerel: Rp33,290 per kg (up 1.25%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,470 per kg (down 0.06%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,450 per kg (down 1.44%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,510 per kg (down 0.04%)
10. Shallots: Rp21,330 per kg (down 1.57%)
