Central Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall (Wednesday, March 13, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (13/3/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil, kembung fish, pure beef, tongkol fish, and bandeng fish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, farmer-level corn, premium rice, garlic cloves, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp11,870 (102.06%) to Rp23,500 per kg. Meanwhile, garlic cloves saw the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp5,980 (16.62%) to Rp30,010 per kg.

2. Red Chili Peppers: Rp60,000 per kg (up 8.32%)
3. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp57,000 per kg (up 1.33%)
4. Kembung Fish: Rp38,000 per kg (up 14.8%)
5. Bandeng Fish: Rp37,000 per kg (up 11.41%)
6. Tongkol Fish: Rp37,000 per kg (up 13.81%)
7. Chicken Meat: Rp34,000 per kg (down 11.48%)
8. Garlic Cloves: Rp30,010 per kg (down 16.62%)
9. Red Onions: Rp30,000 per kg (down 1.02%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,000 per kg (down 5.32%)
11. Iodized Fine Salt: Rp23,500 per kg (up 102.06%)
