Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Oil Up, Red Chili Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (24/9/2025) at 15:06 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 18 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include shallots, mackerel, packaged cooking oil, SPHP rice, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as pure beef, medium rice, garlic bulb, premium rice, and consumption salt decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Imported dried soybean seeds saw the highest jump of Rp99 (0.92%) to Rp10,859 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices fell the most by Rp5,000 (11.11%) to Rp40,000 per kg.
