Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Onions, Sugar, and Chilies Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (26/7/2024) at 14.37 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, mackerel, chicken eggs, shallots, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as cayenne pepper, bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, skipjack tuna, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp4,590 (8.85%) to Rp56,460 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of cayenne pepper decreased the most by Rp1,680 (4.09%) to Rp39,390 per kg.
