Latest Indonesian Regional Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (24/9/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 17 commodities increased in price and 3 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, broiler chicken, SPHP rice, bulk wheat flour, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as fine iodized salt, pure beef, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp2,060 (6.42%) to Rp34,150 per kg. Milkfish prices fell the most sharply by Rp1,180 (3.54%) to Rp32,160 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on September 24, 2024, at 08.01 WIB.

6. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp35,680 per kg (up 6.19%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp34,150 per kg (up 6.42%)
8. Milkfish: Rp32,160 per kg (down 3.54%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,940 per kg (up 5.39%)
10. Red Onions: Rp28,620 per kg (up 4.72%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,460 per liter (up 1.6%)
