Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Rice, Onion, and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (25/3/2025) at 11:17 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, milkfish, dry soybean (import), large red chilies, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), mackerel, bulk cooking oil, packaged cooking oil, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,869 (3.65%) to Rp81,510 per kg. Mackerel prices saw the largest decrease, dropping Rp805 (2.16%) to Rp36,522 per kg.
