Price of Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets for the Period February 2025-2026

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in traditional markets in North Sumatra is recorded at Rp31,600. This price is Rp100 higher than the previous day.

Compared to the past month, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in traditional markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp29,600.

Meanwhile, the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in traditional markets in North Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 6.76% from the previously traded Rp29,600.

The record increase in the daily price of fresh layer chicken eggs in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in July 2016 with an increase of 24.42%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in December 2018 with a decrease of -13.96%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the price of nine staple foods (sembako) today in North Sumatra shows that ten commodities have decreased and 13 others have increased. The sembako with decreasing prices are Large Red Chili, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Curly Red Chili, Red Bird's Eye Chili, Bird's Eye Chili, Cooking Oil, Red Chili, Chicken Eggs, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, and Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2.
