Central Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall (Friday, January 19, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (19/1/2024) at 15.17 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, granulated sugar, pure beef, simple packaged cooking oil, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, shallots, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of livestock-level corn saw the highest increase, jumping Rp210 (2.97%) to Rp7,270 per kg. The price of broiler chicken saw the lowest decrease, falling Rp450 (1.32%) to Rp33,700 per kg.
