Indonesia's Thursday (July 25th) Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (25/7/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, chicken eggs, garlic bulbs, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, milkfish, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp980 (1.47%) to Rp67,530 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of skipjack tuna fell the most sharply by Rp220 (0.69%) to Rp31,560 per kg.
