Latest Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Onion, Chili, and Oil Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (6/9/2025) at 09.52 AM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are curly red chili, red cayenne pepper, Minyakita cooking oil, skipjack tuna, and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, consumption sugar, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Red cayenne pepper commodity saw the highest increase of Rp2,206 (5.47%) to Rp42,500 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp3,390 (7.25%) to Rp43,375 per kg.

Here is the complete list of prices for 21 food commodities in DKI Jakarta according to Bapanas on September 6, 2025 at 09.52 AM WIB.

2. Large Red Chili: Rp47,500 per kg (up 2.01%)
3. Skipjack Tuna: Rp44,375 per kg (up 0.71%)
4. Milkfish: Rp44,000 per kg (down 3.16%)
5. Curly Red Chili: Rp43,750 per kg (up 1.88%)
6. Red Onion: Rp43,375 per kg (down 7.25%)
7. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp42,500 per kg (up 5.47%)
8. Garlic Bulb: Rp42,250 per kg (up 0.04%)
9. Mackerel: Rp41,250 per kg (down 2.94%)
10. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp36,750 per kg (down 0.34%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,111 per kg (up 1.0%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp20,500 per liter (down 0.99%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp18,625 per liter (down 2.37%)
