Cooking Oil Prices in North Sumatra Increased by 6.9% in a Week

Cooking oil prices in North Sumatra reached Rp 17,050 per kg on Monday, February 21, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area showed the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price monitoring data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, cooking oil prices in North Sumatra increased by 6.9% within a week.

However, compared to the previous 30 days, the price in this region is still lower by -13.23%.

Nevertheless, over the past year, cooking oil prices in North Sumatra's modern markets have actually decreased. The previous highest record reached Rp 20,400 per kg.

For the January-February 2022 period, cooking oil prices in modern markets showed a downward trend, decreasing by -13.23% compared to the previous month.
