Current Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Sugar, Rice, and Egg Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (3/12/2024) at 10:13 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase of Rp1,650 (10.61%) to Rp17,200 per kg. The price of fine iodized salt saw the sharpest decrease of Rp480 (4.15%) to Rp11,090 per kg.
