Daily Prices of Raw Chili Peppers in Modern Markets of Central Java Province Increased by 85.73% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of chili rawit in modern markets in Central Java Province is recorded at Rp85,250 per kg. This price is up by Rp1,600 per kg compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of chili rawit in modern markets has increased from Rp45,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of chili rawit in modern markets in Central Java over the past three months has increased by 34.57% from the previous price of Rp63,350 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of chili rawit in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 228.57%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2018 with a decrease of -22.62%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Central Java show nine commodities decreased and 21 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Super I Quality Rice, Below I Quality Rice, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Medium I Quality Rice, Quality 2 Beef, Medium II Quality Rice, Quality 1 Beef, Beef, and Rice.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price developments over the past month in Central Java Province:

6. Below I Quality Rice per kg Rp13,050 per kg (down 1.14%)
7. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg Rp21,300 per kg (down 0.23%)
8. Chicken Meat per kg Rp45,450 per kg (up 3.18%)
9. Large Red Chili per kg Rp89,800 per kg (up 64.02%)
