Banjarnegara Regency's 2023 Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp27.19 trillion. This represents a 4.98% growth compared to the previous year's Rp25 trillion.
Compared to the COVID-19 pandemic period in 2020, the region's economic growth is significantly higher. At the end of 2020, post-COVID, growth was recorded at a decrease of 1.32%.
According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) publications, with a total population of 1.05 million, the GRDP per capita in the region is recorded at Rp25,960,000 per capita per year. Nationally, this ranks 437th.
Of the 17 sectors driving the region's economy, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries are the leading sectors.
Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries rank first. In 2023, this sector contributed the largest share to the GRDP, reaching Rp7.78 trillion, with a growth of 0.59%.
Following this is the manufacturing industry, which grew by 7.67% to Rp4.46 trillion, followed by wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles in third place with a GRDP of Rp3.98 trillion (4.98%).
The final sector in the top five is education services, with a GRDP of Rp1.65 trillion. This sector recorded a growth of 6.61% compared to the previous year's achievement of Rp1.53 trillion.
