Sumatera Utara Food Price List Today: Onion and Rice Prices Increase (Friday, January 19, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in North Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (19/1/2024) at 13:34 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, iodized fine salt, premium rice, shallots, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp540 (4.83%), reaching Rp11,730 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili saw the lowest price decrease of Rp4,570 (10.88%), reaching Rp37,420 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in North Sumatra according to Bapanas as of January 19, 2024, at 13:34 WIB.

6. Shallot: Rp36,290 per kg (up 1.31%)
7. Red Chili (Keriting): Rp34,190 per kg (down 1.04%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,620 per kg (down 2.47%)
9. Chicken Meat: Rp31,400 per kg (up 0.83%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,170 per kg (up 1.23%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,030 per kg (up 0.59%)
