Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Up, Salt Down (Sunday, February 18, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (18/2/2024) at 13:32 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, skipjack tuna, premium rice, red chilies, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), dry soybean seeds (import), chicken eggs, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp10,960 (16.27%) to Rp78,340 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk wheat flour decreased the most, by Rp90 (0.92%) to Rp9,710 per kg.
