Current Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Prices Up, Rice Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (28/5/2024) at 14.52 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, dry soybean (import), and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, premium rice, skipjack tuna, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp1,530 (5.03%) to Rp31,920 per kg. The price of premium rice decreased the least by Rp80 (0.56%) to Rp14,170 per kg.
