Central Java Food Prices Week of January 12th: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (12/1/2025) at 11:53 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, granulated sugar, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel experienced the highest increase of Rp2,530 (7.88%) to Rp34,620 per kg. The price of corn at the farmer level saw the sharpest decrease of Rp100 (1.88%) to Rp5,230 per kg.
