Yogyakarta Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Thursday, January 18, 2024)

Food prices in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (18/1/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, chicken eggs, fine iodized salt, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, skipjack tuna, curly red chilies, pure beef, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp410 (3.64%) to Rp11,680 per kg. Curly red chilies experienced the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp1,760 (3.27%) to Rp52,110 per kg.
