Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (27/8/2024) at 10:47 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, shallots, farmer-level corn, milkfish, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, chicken eggs, red chilies, red cayenne peppers, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest at Rp1,490 (4.63%) to Rp33,670 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne peppers decreased the most at Rp2,420 (6.15%) to Rp36,910 per kg.
