Super I Grade Rice Prices in Traditional Markets, May 2024-2025

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 4:45 PM WIB, the daily price of Super I quality rice in traditional markets in West Sumatra Province increased by Rp800 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp18,050.

Over the past month, the daily price of Super I quality rice in traditional markets has remained unchanged at Rp18,050.

Meanwhile, the daily price of Super I quality rice in traditional markets in West Sumatra over the past three months has decreased by 0.55%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of Super I quality rice in traditional markets in West Sumatra Province was traded at Rp18,150.

The highest price increase for daily Super I quality rice in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in January 2021 with an increase of 32.13%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in January 2021 with a decrease of -22.46%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Sumatra show seven commodities decreased and 14 others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases are: Daily Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Green Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province, Medium II Quality Rice, Super II Quality Rice, Rice in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Fresh Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in West Sumatra Province:
