Banten Region Food Prices Friday (July 12th): Chicken, Rice, and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (12/7/2024) at 08.42 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, medium rice, fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, simple packaged cooking oil, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest, increasing by Rp8,790 (19.02%) to Rp55,000 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices decreased the most sharply, dropping by Rp8,430 (19.41%) to Rp35,000 per kg.

2. Red Chili: Rp55,000 per kg (up 19.02%)
3. Garlic Bulb: Rp40,000 per kg (down 1.06%)
4. Broiler Chicken: Rp38,000 per kg (down 0.03%)
5. Curly Red Chili: Rp35,000 per kg (down 19.41%)
6. Ikan Kembung (a type of fish): Rp35,000 per kg (down 3.79%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 13.19%)
8. Red Onion: Rp28,000 per kg (down 8.26%)
9. Milkfish: Rp28,000 per kg (down 16.82%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (up 1.86%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (up 0.84%)
