Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Sunday, January 21, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (21/1/2024) at 14.37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, red chilies, chicken eggs, milkfish, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, medium rice, bulk cooking oil, shallots, and shallots cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp340 (1.2%) to Rp28,570 per kg. Indian mackerel saw the lowest price decrease of Rp410 (1.21%) to Rp33,360 per kg.
