Chili Pepper Prices at Traditional Markets, May 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of chili peppers in traditional markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp72,800. This price is down Rp2,850 compared to the previous day.

Over the past month, the daily price of chili peppers in traditional markets has increased from Rp58,250.

Meanwhile, the daily price of chili peppers in traditional markets in Papua over the past three months has increased by 17.04% from the previous record of Rp62,200.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of chili peppers in traditional markets in this province was in August 2023, with an increase of 66.63%, while the lowest decrease was also recorded in August 2023, at -43.91%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua show two commodities decreased and 29 others increased. The commodities with decreased prices are Daily Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province and Daily Green Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province.
