East Java Food Prices Friday (May 3): Egg Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (3/5/2024) at 13:55 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, premium rice, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, garlic bulbs, red chilies, mackerel fish, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The highest price increase was for farmer-level corn, up by Rp340 (5.14%) to Rp6,960 per kg. The lowest price decrease was for red chilies, down by Rp1,680 (3.6%) to Rp44,940 per kg.
