Central Java Food Prices Friday (March 28th): Red Chili Prices Rise, Cooking Oil Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (28/3/2025) at 14.51 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour, chicken eggs, premium rice, fresh buffalo meat (local), and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, packaged cooking oil, medium rice, bulk cooking oil, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp2,299 (4.4%) to Rp54,583 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean seeds (import) decreased the most sharply, down by Rp95 (0.99%) to Rp9,465 per kg.
