Daily Price of Red Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets, February 2024

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of red chili peppers in traditional markets in Maluku Province is recorded at Rp61,250. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day, and similarly unchanged over the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of red chili peppers in traditional markets has decreased from Rp88,750.

Meanwhile, the daily price of red chili peppers in traditional markets in Maluku over the last three months has decreased by 38.75%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of red chili peppers in traditional markets in Maluku Province was traded at Rp100,000.

The record high for the daily price of red chili peppers in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in November 2021 with an increase of 72.55%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in February 2020 with a decrease of -36.71%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Maluku show 13 commodities decreased and eight increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include Garlic, Rice, Cooking Oil, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Beef, Super I Quality Rice, Inferior Quality II Rice, Red Chili, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Medium-Sized Garlic, Quality 2 Beef, Curly Red Chili, and Chicken Meat.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the last month in Maluku Province:

8. Beef per Kg Rp154,950/kg (down 6.6%)
9. Super I Quality Rice per Kg Rp16,900/kg (down 1.17%)
10. Medium Quality II Rice per Kg Rp17,200/kg (unchanged)
