Today's Food Prices in Central Java: What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (3/5/2024) at 18.20 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, broiler chicken, shallots, premium rice, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,110 (6.9%) to Rp32,680 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots saw the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp1,720 (3.3%) to Rp50,330 per kg.
