Current Food Prices in East Java: Salt Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (14/6/2024) at 09.19 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, garlic bulbs, medium rice, red chilies, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp740 (7.99%) to Rp10,000 per kg. The price of mackerel experienced the largest decrease, down by Rp1,900 (5.69%) to Rp31,480 per kg.
