Food Prices Saturday (June 15th) Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (15/6/2024) at 10:09 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, premium rice, dry soybean (import), fine iodized salt, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, shallots, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices increased the most, by Rp2,900 (7.63%) to Rp40,900 per kg. Shallot prices decreased the most sharply, by Rp2,100 (5.48%) to Rp36,250 per kg.
