Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra Region, What is the Price of Buffalo Meat?

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (17/4/2025) at 16.35 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, Minyakita (a subsidized cooking oil brand), skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, table salt, dry soybean (import), medium rice, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp516 (1.32%) to Rp39,516 per kg. Red chilies saw the steepest price drop, down by Rp1,574 (2.32%) to Rp66,172 per kg.
