Red chili pepper prices in Central Java rose 25.22% this week.

The price of curly red chilies in Central Java was Rp 57,850 per kg on Friday, May 27, 2022. Compared to other regions, the price change in this region was the highest in the last week.

According to daily monitoring of staple food commodity prices from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of curly red chilies in Central Java has started to increase by 25.22% in a week.

Meanwhile, compared to the price 30 days earlier, the price of curly red chilies in this region has increased by 3.3%.

However, for the last year's data range, the selling price of curly red chilies in Central Java's modern markets has actually decreased. The previous highest record reached Rp 65,100 per kg.

For the January-May 2022 period, the price of curly red chilies in modern markets continued to rise, increasing by 7.63% compared to the previous month.

The price of curly red chilies reached its lowest point of Rp 44,300 per kg on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. The highest price reached this year was around Rp 65,100 per kg.

Nationally, the price of curly red chilies began to fall towards the end of 2021. The average price of curly red chilies in modern markets was Rp 59,570 per kg, down 1.08% compared to the end of last week.
