Price of Premium Quality Granulated Sugar in Modern Markets for the Period March 2025-2026

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of premium quality granulated sugar in modern markets of the Riau Islands Province is recorded at Rp17,850 per kg. This price has remained unchanged compared to the previous day and also over the past week.

Meanwhile, compared to the price in the last month, the daily price of premium quality granulated sugar in modern markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp17,950 per kg.

In addition, the daily price of premium quality granulated sugar in modern markets in the Riau Islands Province has decreased by 0.56% over the past three months. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of premium quality granulated sugar in modern markets of the Riau Islands Province was traded at Rp17,950 per kg.

The record increase in the daily price of premium quality granulated sugar in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 15.67%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2020 with a decrease of -15%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the price of nine staple foods (sembako) today in the Riau Islands Province shows that ten commodities have decreased and 19 others have increased. The staple foods with decreased prices are Granulated Sugar, Shallots, Medium-sized Garlic, Super I Quality Rice, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Medium-sized Shallots, Garlic, and Local Granulated Sugar.
