Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Oil Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (25/7/2024) at 14.37 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, bulk cooking oil, iodized fine salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, pure beef, red chili peppers, broiler chicken, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of simple packaged cooking oil increased the most, by Rp570 (3.32%) to Rp17,720 per liter. The price of broiler chicken decreased the most sharply, by Rp1,970 (5.54%) to Rp33,580 per kg.
