Latest South Sumatra Food Prices: What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (17/4/2025) at 12:52 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour, and packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as large red chilies, pure beef, shallots, chicken meat, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies surged the highest at Rp1,145 (1.99%) to Rp58,645 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chilies fell the sharpest at Rp2,227 (4.05%) to Rp52,704 per kg.
