Daily Prices of Green Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets Across Papua Province Have Fallen 22.28% Over the Past Month

Latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of green chilies in traditional markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp40,650. This price is down Rp800 compared to the previous day.

Regarding the price over the past month, the daily price of green chilies in traditional markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp52,300.

Meanwhile, the daily price of green chilies in traditional markets in Papua over the past three months has fallen by 21.68%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of green chilies in traditional markets in Papua Province was traded at Rp51,900.

The record high for the daily price of green chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in March 2020 with an increase of 64.67%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2019 with a decrease of -44.92%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua show seven commodities decreased and 13 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Curly Red Chilies, Large Red Chilies, Garlic, Red Chilies, Rice, Medium I Quality Rice, and Medium II Quality Rice.

7. Garlic per kg Rp56,000/kg (down 1.75%)
8. Chilies per kg Rp97,500/kg (up 8.94%)
9. Red Chilies per kg Rp66,500/kg (down 4.66%)
10. Rice per kg Rp16,500/kg (down 0.3%)
11. Shallots per kg Rp63,500/kg (up 8.09%)
