Banten Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Monday, January 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (22/1/2024) at 12:08 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, garlic bulbs, red chilies, granulated sugar, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, pure beef, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was livestock-level corn, up Rp740 (9.84%) to Rp8,260 per kg. The commodity with the lowest price decrease was iodized fine salt, down Rp1,320 (12.15%) to Rp9,540 per kg.
