Today's Food Price Update in Central Java: Chili, Onion, and Oil Prices Drop (Monday, January 15, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (15/1/2024) at 18.07 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are pure beef, bulk cooking oil, farmer-level corn, broiler chicken, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, simple packaged cooking oil, iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken prices increased the most by Rp220 (0.66%) to Rp33,750 per kg. Iodized fine salt prices decreased the most by Rp800 (6.71%) to Rp11,120 per kg.
