Sumatera Selatan Food Prices, Week of December 22nd: What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (22/12/2024) at 09.44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), simple packaged cooking oil, and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of Indian mackerel saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,080 (3.15%) to Rp35,370 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp3,600 (8.4%) to Rp39,270 per kg.
