Kompas Research and Development: Public Satisfaction with Jokowi Reaches Highest Level

Public satisfaction with the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) increased in June 2024, reaching its highest level during his second term.

This is recorded in the *Leadership Survey* report released by Kompas Research and Development (Litbang Kompas). In June 2024, 75.6% of respondents reported being satisfied.

"Even amidst a difficult global political and economic situation, the government is considered still competent in facing various political, economic, and social challenges," said Litbang Kompas researcher M. Toto Suryaningtyas in his report on Thursday (20/6/2024).

Further analysis reveals that public satisfaction with Jokowi's government performance is divided into several aspects: politics and security (polkam), law, economy, and social welfare.

The highest public satisfaction is in the polkam sector, with 85.5% of respondents expressing satisfaction.

Satisfaction in the social welfare sector reached 82%, the economic sector 65.1%, while the legal sector was the lowest at only 57%.

"The public views problems in the legal sector as unfinished business for this government. The eradication of bribery and the sale of legal cases received the lowest rating, in addition to issues of corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN), case resolution, and the treatment of law enforcement officers," said the Litbang Kompas team.

This periodic Litbang Kompas survey involved 1,200 respondents randomly and proportionally selected from all provinces in Indonesia.

The latest data collection was conducted from May 27 to June 2, 2024, through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is approximately 2.83%, and the confidence level is 95% under simple random sampling conditions.
